Ship Fitter

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Ship Fitter to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the fitting and welding of metal components to construct and repair ships and boats.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the fabrication team to ensure timely production schedules.
• Comply with industry regulations and safety standards.
• Prepare reports on materials required for projects.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Provide support during inspections and audits.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant vocational qualification

Experience

• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in marine fabrication

Technical Skills

• Fitting and Assembly
• Tool Operation

Soft Skills

• Strong Work Ethic
• Communication

Certifications

• Shipbuilding Safety Training

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Ability to work on diverse vessel types: Experience handling everything from commercial vessels to private yachts.
• Knowledge of maritime regulations: Understanding of safety and environmental practices in maritime operations.
