Cloth Examiner

Job Description

As a Cloth Examiner, you will be pivotal in maintaining the quality of our textiles by inspecting for defects and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Your keen eye for detail will ensure our products meet the high standards expected in the textile manufacturing sector.

Responsibilities

• Examine fabrics for structural defects and colour disparities.
• Communicate findings to the quality control team and production manager.
• Help establish standards for new materials and products.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss quality issues and solutions.
• Stay updated on industry trends and quality assurance practices.
• Provide training for junior inspectors on quality assessment techniques.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certificate IV in Textile Technology or related field is preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in fabric inspection or quality control

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with industrial sewing machines: Familiarity with operating and assessing the output of industrial machinery.
