Job Description

As a Police Identification and Records Officer, you will play a critical role in supporting law enforcement agencies by collecting and preserving evidence from crime scenes. Your work will involve meticulous documentation and analysis to ensure the integrity of evidence.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, record, and manage all physical and digital evidence.
  • Conduct forensic analyses of evidence, including DNA testing and fingerprint analysis.
  • Prepare detailed reports reflecting the findings from evidence analyses.
  • Assist in the development of evidence handling protocols for law enforcement agencies.
  • Coordinate with forensic analysts and investigators to ensure effective evidence processing.
  • Participate in court proceedings to provide expert testimony as required.
  • Attend ongoing training sessions to stay updated on forensic science advancements.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Forensic Science or a related field
  • Professional certification in Forensic Science is advantageous
Experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in evidence handling and analysis
