Job Description

We are seeking highly motivated Substance Abuse Counselors to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will provide vital support for individuals navigating recovery from substance abuse. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and facilitating therapy sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for clients with substance use disorders.
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on client progress and feedback.
  • Provide education to clients and families about substance use and recovery.
  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive client care.
  • Document assessments and treatment plans in electronic health records.
  • Facilitate skills training to enhance coping mechanisms and life skills.
  • Advocate for clients’ needs and promote their rights.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and emerging trends in substance abuse treatment.
  • Engage clients in recovery-oriented activities and programs.
  • Support clients in navigating social services and community resources.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Social Work
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications preferred
Experience
  • Experience working with diverse populations is preferred.
