Physical Metallurgist

Job Description

We are currently searching for a skilled and motivated Physical Metallurgist to join our progressive team. The successful candidate will conduct research, develop and implement new technologies and processes, with a core focus on analyzing materials to enhance product performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives in metallurgical process optimization to enhance product quality.
• Perform testing for material properties and evaluate metallurgical characteristics.
• Implement process changes based on empirical data and analysis.
• Conduct failure analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Interface with suppliers to ensure material specifications are met.
• Prepare documentation for regulatory compliance and audits.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering or related field
• Master’s degree in Metallurgy preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience

Technical Skills

• Research Methodologies
• Quality Control Processes

Certifications

• Materials Science Certification
• Certified Quality Engineer

Languages

• English: Fluent
