Job Description

As a Command and Control Center Officer, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all airspace activities in Australia. This includes ensuring the safe and efficient operations of air traffic while maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee real-time airspace management and decision-making.
• Facilitate timely communication between aircraft and air traffic control.
• Implement safety protocols and emergency procedures.
• Evaluate and improve operational procedures continuously.
• Support the training and professional development of junior staff.
• Review and analyse incident reports to enhance safety measures.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve service delivery.
• Prepare reports detailing air traffic operations and performance metrics.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Aeronautical Science, or related field

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in airspace management and control.

Technical Skills

• Air Traffic Control software
• Flight tracking software

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication
• Analytical thinking

Certifications

• Air Traffic Control License (CASR Part 65)
• Airspace Control Endorsement (CASR Part 172)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs): Hands-on knowledge in managing drone operations in controlled airspace.
• Military airspace management experience: Prior experience in a military environment managing air traffic operations.
