Job Description

We are on the lookout for a highly skilled Cattle Tester to join our dedicated team as Agricultural Technicians. In this role, you will conduct vital tests and analyses on cattle herds to ensure their ongoing health and productivity. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in animal husbandry, solid problem-solving abilities, and a passion for livestock welfare.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out health assessments and testing of cattle to identify any arising health concerns.
  • Collect and analyse samples for laboratory testing and provide detailed reports.
  • Assist in the administration of vaccinations and treatments as per veterinary instructions.
  • Document all observations regarding animal behaviour and response to treatments.
  • Implement biosecurity protocols and quarantine procedures as required.
  • Advise on herd management strategies to enhance productivity and health.
  • Support emergency response efforts during disease outbreaks.
  • Stay informed on new developments and best practices in cattle health management.
  • Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree or diploma in Animal Science, Veterinary Science, or a similar field
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in cattle health management

  • Expertise in cattle anatomy and physiology
