Job Description

As a Critical Care Nurse, you'll be pivotal in delivering specialized care to critically ill patients in our Intensive Care Unit. Your role involves monitoring patient conditions, administering treatments, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and monitor critically ill patients in the ICU.
  • Administer and titrate medications and fluids per physician orders.
  • Manage ventilator settings and monitor patients' respiratory status.
  • Perform advanced hemodynamic monitoring and interpret results.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and execute patient care plans.
  • Communicate efficiently with families and team members.
  • Engage in continuous education to enhance clinical skills.
  • Follow hospital protocols and safety standards diligently.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
  • Addition certifications in ICU nursing are preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in ICU nursing
Technical Skills
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS)

Certifications
  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Certification in Advanced Life Support (ALS)
Languages

Advantageous
