Mental Health Counselor

Job Description

As a Mental Health Counselor at Therapeutic Solutions Australia, you will work with individuals to provide therapeutic support, conduct assessments, and develop treatment plans tailored to their needs. You will be an integral part of our dedicated team focused on improving the mental health and wellbeing of our clients.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients' mental health situations and determine appropriate interventions.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans based on client needs.
• Deliver one-on-one and group counseling sessions.
• Engage with external agencies and community resources for client support.
• Document progress notes and maintain accurate records of counseling activities.
• Facilitate collaboration among care team members.
• Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and clinical practice standards.
• Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
• Participate in case conferences and contribute to policy development.
• Stay current with best practices in the field of mental health.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
• Master's degree in Counseling or a related field is preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of relevant experience in counseling or mental health services
