Job Responsibilities
  • Execute tests on blood samples to assist with diagnosing diseases.
  • Utilize advanced hematology analyzers and microscopes for accurate testing.
  • Communicate test results to doctors and support staff.
  • Participate in continuous education and training programs.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory regulations and standards.
  • Monitor inventory of laboratory supplies and request orders as necessary.
  • Assist with audits and inspections related to laboratory practices.
  • Work closely with the Laboratory Manager to improve operational efficiency.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance skills.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
  • Hematology Analyzers Proficient in using hematology analyzers like Sysmex and Beckman Coulter.
  • Microscopy Experienced in preparing and interpreting microscope slides.
  • Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) Skilled in using LIMS for data entry and management.
  • Attention to Detail Exceptional attention to detail in laboratory results.
  • Communication Strong communication skills for liaising with medical staff.
  • Problem-solving Adept at troubleshooting technical issues in lab operations.
  • Certification from Australian Institute of Medical Scientists (AIMS)
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Experience with LIMS systems: Proficient in using Laboratory Information Management Systems for data management.
  • Certification from a relevant professional organization: Additional certifications that validate expertise in medical laboratory practices.
