Job Description

As a Gem and Diamond Worker, you will play a crucial role in operating drilling equipment designed to extract core samples from the earth. This position demands precision, attention to detail, and your commitment to safety protocols within the mining and exploration sectors. You will collaborate closely with a team of geologists and engineers to analyse these samples, contributing to the advancement of our projects.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate advanced drilling equipment for geological surveys.
• Evaluate core sample quality and assist in interpretation of geologic data.
• Work within a team environment ensuring all roles are synchronised.
• Maintain high standards of operational safety and quality control.
• Provide feedback on drilling performance and equipment efficiency.
• Assist in logistical planning for drilling schedules and operations.
• Communicate with site supervisors about drilling progress and challenges.
• Follow environmental guidelines to minimise impact on surrounding areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the drilling site.
• Assist in the training of junior operators and new team members.

Requirements

Education

• Trade Certificate in Mining or Resources
• Certificate IV in Drilling Operations is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in mining or diamond drilling operations.
