Log Rafter

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Log Rafter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in crafting and fitting log rafters for both residential and commercial projects, contributing to our reputation for quality and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Craft and install log rafters for custom timber structures.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations while working on-site.
• Assist in the training and supervision of junior carpenters.
• Interpret and work from blueprints and specifications.
• Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
• Conduct quality checks on completed work and make necessary adjustments.
• Participate in site meetings and contribute to project planning.
• Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent
• Current White Card

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in log rafter construction and fitting.

Technical Skills

• Log fitting

Certifications

• Valid driver’s license

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in framing and roof construction: Hands-on experience in framing and constructing roof structures.
• Heavy machinery operation: Certifications or experience operating cranes and forklifts.
