Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Railroad Car-Truck Builder to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing and assembling car and truck components for railroad vehicles. The ideal candidate should have strong mechanical aptitude and be familiar with industry standards and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to enhance product designs.
• Perform regular maintenance on machinery and tools.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.
• Monitor inventory for necessary components and report shortages.
• Inspect tools and equipment to maintain safety standards.
• Adapt to new technologies and assembly techniques.
• Ensure adherence to timelines and quality benchmarks.
• Assist with the training of junior staff members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Engage in team meetings to discuss production goals and challenges.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Previous experience in the railroad or transportation industry is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in using hand and power tools
• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Soft Skills

• Strong communication skills
• Adaptability

Certifications

• CAD Software Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
