Job Description

As an Underground Mining Machine Operator, you will be pivotal in the extraction and transportation of copper ore, utilising advanced machinery and adhering to strict safety protocols. Your role is essential in ensuring efficient and safe operations within our mines.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery to extract and transport copper ore efficiently.
• Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure machinery is in good condition.
• Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and operational protocols.
• Assist in the training of new employees and ensure adherence to safety practices.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve mine operations and productivity.
• Maintain detailed logbooks of operational data and machinery performance.
• Coordinate with other team members to maximize production efficiency.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss operational improvements.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote sustainability.
• Engage in continuous learning to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Underground Metalliferous Mining or equivalent
• First Aid certification required

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in similar roles within the mining sector.
