Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Hospital Pharmacist responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications within our institution. The successful candidate will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide optimal pharmaceutical care to patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough medication reviews and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate in interdisciplinary rounds to discuss patient care plans.
  • Educate patients about their medications and potential side effects.
  • Develop protocols for medication management in alignment with best practices.
  • Utilize electronic health records for efficient medication tracking.
  • Assist in the implementation of new pharmacy technologies.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
  • Contribute to the development of pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Oversee pharmacy technicians in daily operations.
  • Act as a resource for hospital staff regarding medication management.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent
  • Postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy is advantageous
Experience
  • Experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting is preferred.
