Job Description

Join our team as a Monkey Keeper, where you'll take charge of the daily care and enrichment of our monkeys. This role is crucial in promoting their well-being while educating the public about conservation efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting routine health checks and documenting findings.
  • Developing enrichment programs to promote natural behaviours.
  • Interacting with visitors during presentations and educational tours.
  • Managing records for health treatments and dietary changes of monkeys.
  • Collaborating with veterinarians for health assessments.
  • Training and mentoring junior staff and volunteers in animal care techniques.

Requirements

Education
  • Certificate III or IV in Animal Studies
  • Bachelor's degree in Zoology or related field is preferred
Experience
  • Experience in animal behaviour research is a plus.
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of Animal Welfare Standards

Certifications
  • Animal First Aid Certification
Languages
  • English: Fluent
