Mechanical Technician

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Mechanical Technician who will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with mechanical systems and a commitment to safety and quality standards. You will work closely with our engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues, maintaining a flow of productivity in our facilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections on machinery and equipment.
• Perform repairs and replacements of mechanical parts.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize equipment performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical failures effectively.
• Assist in the training of new staff on machinery operations and safety procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate IV in Engineering or equivalent qualifications

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance or a similar role

Technical Skills

• Mechanical System Diagnosis

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Forklift License: A valid forklift license is an advantage.
• Experience with CAD Software: Familiarity with CAD software for equipment schematics is a plus.
