Job Description

As an Obstetrician, you will oversee the medical care and management of pregnant women. You will supervise everything from regular prenatal check-ups to childbirth and postnatal care, ensuring a smooth and safe experience for mothers and their babies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive prenatal check-ups, employing technology and ultrasound as needed.
  • Evaluate patient histories and develop care plans that respect patient preferences.
  • Oversee labor delivery and use countermeasures for pain relief and comfort.
  • Provide comprehensive postnatal care and support for breastfeeding.
  • Work closely with midwives and pediatricians to ensure best practices.
  • Ensure that patient records are meticulously maintained and secure.
  • Contribute to professional development programs and workshops.
  • Promote a positive birthing experience through empathetic care and understanding.
  • Respond to emergencies during childbirth with swift, decisive actions.
  • Engage in community outreach programs to educate families on maternal health.

Requirements

Education
  • Medical Degree from a recognised university
  • Completion of Obstetrics & Gynecology residency program
Experience
  • Experience with high-risk pregnancies preferred.
