Job Description

As a Certified Orthotist (CO), you will be responsible for designing, fabricating, and fitting orthopedic devices for patients with musculoskeletal disorders or injuries. You will collaborate closely with physicians and physical therapists to ensure the best outcomes for our patients. Your role is vital in creating custom solutions that improve mobility and overall quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient progress with their orthotic devices.
• Work closely with physical therapists and physicians to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Use CAD and 3D printing technology for custom orthotic fabrication.
• Perform quality checks on orthotic devices before they are delivered to patients.
• Conduct workshops and training sessions for junior staff regarding orthotic practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics or related field
• Master's degree in a relevant field is an advantage

Experience

• Experience working with patients of all ages and backgrounds

Technical Skills

• 3D printing technology
• Patient record management software

Soft Skills

• Compassionate care
• Flexibility

Certifications

• AOPA Certification
• Current state licensure as an Orthotist

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Electronic medical record experience: Experience with EMR systems and digital record-keeping.
• Advanced CAD skills: Adept at using CAD tools for designing orthotic solutions.
