Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Dowel Machine Operator to oversee the operation and maintenance of dowel machines used in wood processing and manufacturing. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient production of dowels as per specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong mechanical skills, and work well within a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor dowel machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Record and report issues affecting production to the supervisor.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to maximize efficiency.
• Inspect raw materials and finished products for defects and inconsistencies.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain quality.
• Work closely with quality assurance to ensure compliance with standards.
• Handle production scheduling and coordinate with team members effectively.

Requirements

Education

• A background in woodworking or related fields is advantageous.

Experience

• 2+ years operating machinery in a manufacturing setting.
