Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Nurse to join our team in Karratha. In this role, you will provide care and support to individuals facing mental health challenges, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mental health, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage with clients compassionately and effectively. Your work will involve assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care to ensure the highest quality of service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical assessments to diagnose conditions.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Oversee animal health and welfare in the clinic.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of animal health professionals.
  • Participate in training and mentorship of junior staff.
  • Keep up with continuing education and professional development.
  • Manage patient follow-ups and care consistency.
  • Engage in community education about pet health and welfare.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure a positive environment.

Requirements

Education
  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree
Experience
  • 3+ years of veterinary experience preferred
