We are looking for a skilled Medical Radiation Dosimetrist to join our multidisciplinary team. You will play a crucial role in planning and calculating radiation treatment dosages for patients undergoing radiation therapy. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review radiation treatment plans using advanced planning software.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team to devise optimal treatment strategies.
• Perform regular quality checks and validate treatment procedures for accuracy.
• Adjust treatment parameters based on patient response and feedback.
• Maintain electronic records of treatment plans and patient histories.
• Educate patients about treatment processes and provide emotional support.
• Engage in research and contribute to team meetings with insights on treatment advancements.
• Lead training workshops for new staff on dosimetry practices and software tools.
• Review and adhere to the latest radiation safety protocols and best practices.
• Foster a collaborative environment within the healthcare team to improve patient care.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Radiation Science (Medical Dosimetry) or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Medical Radiation Dosimetrist

• Registration with AHPRA
• Membership with ASMIRT (preferred)
