Join our dynamic team as a Spare Hand! This role involves assisting with the maintenance of machinery, performing inspections, and undertaking essential general labour tasks. We are looking for a reliable individual who enjoys hands-on work and can collaborate effectively with our skilled technicians.

Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance team in machinery repairs and upkeep.
• Perform manual handling tasks, including cleaning and moving items.
• Assist with testing and inspection processes for equipment.
• Engage in installing and configuring new machinery.
• Complete documentation and maintenance logs accurately.
• Work closely with other maintenance staff and technicians.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a healthy work environment.
• Identify maintenance issues and escalate to supervisors when necessary.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Trade qualification in mechanical or engineering discipline preferred

Experience

• At least 1-2 years of relevant experience.

Technical Skills

• Welding and fabrication
• Preventative maintenance knowledge

Soft Skills

• Communication

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in preventative maintenance programs: Experience with scheduled maintenance activities for machinery.
