Job Description

As a Social and Human Service Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing emotional support and practical assistance to families facing challenges. You will work closely with various stakeholders to facilitate access to essential resources and services.

Responsibilities

• Support families in navigating complex social systems and access services.
• Develop and organize community workshops to educate families on available resources.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of case plans and adjust as needed.
• Provide training and guidance to volunteers and interns as required.
• Advocate for clients' rights and needs within the community.
• Engage with local agencies and service providers to foster partnerships.
• Perform administrative duties such as data entry and scheduling as necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Psychology
• Master's degree is an asset

Experience

• Experience in family advocacy preferred
