Job Description

The Domestic Violence Advocate will play a critical role in providing support and assistance to victims of domestic violence. Responsibilities include emotional support, safety planning, and connecting clients to community resources. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of domestic violence dynamics and a commitment to client advocacy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide immediate support to victims in crisis situations.
  • Assist in developing tailored safety plans for individuals and families.
  • Facilitate connections to local community resources and services.
  • Offer advocacy for clients throughout legal processes.
  • Document interactions and maintain organized records for confidentiality.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's in Social Work or related field
  • Master's degree highly regarded
Experience
  • 3-5 years working in domestic violence support or related sectors.
