Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat patients with diverse respiratory ailments.
  • Conduct patient evaluations and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Administer medications and oxygen therapy as prescribed.
  • Compile and maintain documentation of patient care.
  • Work closely with medical staff to implement patient care strategies.
  • Offer education and training to patients on respiratory health.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to care plan discussions.
  • Assist in managing emergency situations related to respiratory distress.
  • Stay updated on the latest in respiratory therapy techniques and technologies.
  • Engage in continuous professional development activities.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or related field
  • Graduate diploma or master's in Respiratory Therapy is desirable
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a hospital-based Respiratory Therapy role
