Job Description

The Courtroom Clerk will perform vital administrative duties to facilitate smooth courtroom operations, ensuring timely delivery of justice. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate records and managing court schedules effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Record and transcribe court proceedings accurately.
  • Prepare and distribute court orders and transcripts.
  • Communicate effectively with judges, attorneys, and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with court rules and procedures.
  • Handle filing and retrieval of court documents.
  • Assist in managing complex scheduling and calendar systems.
  • Demonstrate confidentiality and discretion in all matters.
  • Manage requests for court documents from the public.
  • Perform related clerical duties as necessary.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Post-secondary education in legal or administrative studies is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a legal or administrative role
Technical Skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite

Languages
