We are on the lookout for a skilled Cast-Iron Drain Pipe Layer to join our dynamic team at Construction Solutions. The successful candidate will be pivotal in installing and maintaining cast-iron drain pipes on various construction sites. Your expertise in identifying optimal pipe routes, excavating trenches, and ensuring proper connections will be essential to our projects.

Responsibilities

• Install and lay cast-iron drain pipes according to blueprints and specifications.
• Excavate trenches using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Connect drain pipes using proper fittings and seals to ensure leak-proof systems.
• Test installed pipes for leaks or blockages and rectify issues as required.
• Maintain and repair existing drainage systems as necessary.
• Collaborate with other construction workers to ensure efficient workflow.
• Follow safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Keep accurate records of pipe installation and maintenance.
• Operate machinery such as excavators and backhoes as needed.
• Provide guidance and training to junior pipe layers.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant trade certification in plumbing or similar field

Experience

• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in cast-iron drain pipe installation and maintenance.
