Metal Sander

Job Description

As a Metal Sander, you will play a key role in our manufacturing process, ensuring that metal parts are expertly prepared and finished. You'll work with a variety of tools to grind, sand, and polish surfaces to meet high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operating and maintaining sanding and grinding machines.
• Inspecting completed work for quality assurance.
• Managing inventory of sandpaper and polishing supplies.
• Coordinating with the assembly team for timely deliveries.
• Assisting in training new team members.
• Adhering to workplace safety regulations.
• Participating in housekeeping and maintenance of the workshop.
• Contributing ideas for improving safety and efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• No formal qualifications necessary, but experience in metal sanding is required

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in a metal sander position

Technical Skills

• Attention to detail
• Hand-eye coordination

• Experience with hand and power tools
• Physical stamina

Soft Skills

• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in the manufacturing or construction industry: Knowledge of industry practices is preferred.
• Familiarity with different metal types and properties: Understanding how various metals react during finishing processes.
• Experience with CNC or automated machinery: Knowledge of CNC operations can be an advantage.
