Environmental Compliance Inspector (CESSWI)

Job Description

We are seeking a Certified Erosion, Sediment, and Storm Water Inspector (CESSWI) to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and mitigate the impact of construction activities on soil erosion, sedimentation, and stormwater runoff. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate construction sites for compliance with environmental regulations.
• Create effective erosion control plans tailored to specific projects.
• Engage in stakeholder meetings to discuss project impacts and compliance efforts.
• Ensure all documentation related to inspections and compliance is accurate and up to date.
• Lead workshops for contractors on best practices in erosion and sediment control.
• Utilize GIS software to map and analyze erosion risks.
• Assist with the development of training materials for team members.
• Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure ongoing compliance throughout project lifecycles.
• Collaborate with environmental engineers to refine project designs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or related field
• Professional certifications in environmental management are advantageous

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of related experience in environmental compliance and monitoring
