Job Description

We are seeking experienced Museum Technicians and Conservators who are passionate about art preservation. You will be responsible for examining, documenting, and restoring artworks using various scientific and artistic techniques. Your expertise will help maintain the originality and integrity of art pieces, contributing to our vibrant cultural landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of artworks for conservation needs.
  • Utilize advanced techniques and tools for material analysis and art examination.
  • Create and manage documentation for all conservation activities.
  • Advise on the display and storage of artworks to minimize deterioration.
  • Engage in public education about art preservation techniques.
  • Participate in workshops and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Lead outreach initiatives to promote awareness of conservation efforts.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is required
  • Master's degree in Art Conservation or similar is preferred
Experience
  • Proven experience in conserving a variety of materials including paintings, textiles, and ceramics.
