Job Description

As a Prisoner Classification Interviewer, you will conduct interviews with inmates to evaluate their current status and determine their appropriate classification level. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and security of the correctional facility while providing inmates with the support they need.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate inmates’ needs and risks during classification interviews.
  • Deliver findings through reports and presentations to senior management.
  • Participate in conflict resolution and de-escalation practices.
  • Assist in crisis situations, ensuring the safety of all staff and inmates.
  • Keep abreast of changes in legislation affecting corrections and classification processes.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred
Experience
  • Experience with specialized populations (e.g., sex offenders, substance abusers)
