Commercial Tire Service Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Tire Service Technician to join our Brisbane team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and repairing commercial tires on a range of vehicles, including heavy trucks and machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose tire problems on-site or in the workshop.
• Execute tire repairs, installations, and routine maintenance.
• Support the logistics team in tracking tire inventory.
• Ensure equipment and tools are maintained in good working order.
• Educate customers about tire safety and maintenance tips.
• Adopt sustainable practices in tire disposal and recycling.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
• Help implement improvements in service protocols.

Requirements

Education

• Trade Certificate in Automotive or Heavy Vehicle Technology

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in commercial tire service with a background in automotive repair.

Technical Skills

• Experience with tire retreading and regrooving
• Customer service skills

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Additional certifications in Automotive Technology

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Background in automotive or heavy equipment repair: Experience in a workshop or service environment.
