Job Description

We are looking for an Environmental Scientist based in Lismore who is committed to sustainability and environmental research. You will conduct assessments, collaborate with local communities, and implement projects that foster ecological sustainability in our region.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental impact assessments and prepare concise reports.
• Develop and implement sustainable environmental practices and solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders including local communities, councils, and environmental agencies.
• Monitor and analyse environmental data to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Assist in field research and data collection activities.
• Evaluate and mitigate environmental risks through effective management strategies.
• Prepare grant applications and reports for funding environmental projects.
• Educate and engage community members about sustainable practices.
• Stay updated with environmental laws and regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in environmental research or related roles
