Job Description

As an Oxygen Furnace Operator, you'll play a critical role in the manufacturing process. Your primary responsibility will be to operate and monitor oxygen furnaces, ensuring the safe melting and refining of various metals and alloys. We're looking for someone with a solid understanding of metallurgical processes and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure furnaces are operating efficiently and safely.
• Directly monitor the flow of materials into the furnace.
• Conduct thermal analysis of molten material.
• Collaborate with different departments to achieve production targets.
• Participate in equipment upgrades and installations.
• Document all operational procedures and updates.
• Help create training materials for new hires.
• Influence best practices in furnace operations.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant vocational or technical certificate/diploma

Experience

• 5 years of experience preferred.

Technical Skills

• Mechanical aptitude
• Furnace maintenance

Certifications

• Forklift certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
