Job Description

As a Geographic Information Systems Technologist, you will play a vital role in the design, analysis, and implementation of geospatial data projects. You will collaborate with various teams to produce accurate maps and spatial data for a multitude of applications, including urban planning and environmental management.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed spatial analyses to support various projects.
  • Evaluate geospatial data quality and conformity.
  • Continuously update geospatial tools and methodologies.
  • Provide expert advice on GIS best practices.
  • Lead GIS initiatives and training sessions within the department.
  • Integrate various data sources for comprehensive analyses.
  • Support the development of GIS policies and procedures.
  • Monitor trends and innovations in geospatial technology.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports and documentation.
  • Collaborate with external consultants or stakeholders.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, Urban Planning, or a related field
  • Higher qualification in GIS or related discipline is preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in GIS applications

  • AutoCAD Map 3D
