Job Description

We're seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter to evaluate and assess risks associated with insurance applications. In this role, you'll be responsible for analysing data and determining terms, premiums, and coverage for various insurance policies. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical skills and a robust understanding of insurance principles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough reviews of applications and financial documentation.
• Determine appropriate premiums based on risk analysis.
• Provide expert guidance to agents on policy structuring.
• Participate in training and development to stay current on industry regulations.
• Monitor changing market conditions and adjust underwriting strategies accordingly.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Finance, or relevant field
• Professional certifications in underwriting are beneficial

Experience

• 5+ years of underwriting experience preferred

• Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF)
