Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Newcastle team. The successful candidate will work on a variety of engineering projects, using their expertise to design, develop, and implement solutions that meet client needs. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work collaboratively with other engineers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design projects from conception to completion.
• Utilize advanced engineering software for simulations and modelling.
• Facilitate cross-departmental communication to meet project goals.
• Conduct market research to determine product viability.
• Implement engineering standards and best practices.
• Support procurement processes for materials and components.
• Prepare budgets and resource allocation plans for projects.
• Conduct training sessions for staff on new technologies and processes.
• Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's degree in Engineering Management is advantageous

Experience

• 4-6 years of relevant experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• 3D Modelling Software
• Thermodynamics

Certifications

• Lean Manufacturing Certification
• Certified Engineering Technician (CET)

Languages

• English: Fluent
