Job Description

As an Animal Breeder, you will play a crucial role in the care and management of livestock on our property. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of animal behavior, health, and nutrition, and the ability to maintain records and manage breeding programs efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform health checks and vaccinations on all livestock.
• Oversee the implementation of breeding strategies to enhance herd quality.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers for animal feed and healthcare products.
• Educate the team about the importance of animal welfare and care techniques.
• Participate in community outreach programs related to animal husbandry.
• Ensure compliance with local and national farming regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma of Agriculture
• Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Science is a plus

Experience

• Proven experience in an animal husbandry role preferred.
