Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Buyers and Purchasing Agent to join our dynamic team. This role involves developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and customers in the grain industry, negotiating contracts, and managing logistics for transportation and storage.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate supplier performance and implement improvements.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with supply chain disruptions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of purchasing transactions.
• Train and support junior purchasing team members.
• Conduct presentations on market insights to inform stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or a related field

Experience

• 5+ years in grain trading roles

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with statistical software

Soft Skills

• Analytical mindset
• Team player

Certifications

• Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Ability to speak additional languages: Fluency in languages other than English is a plus.
• Experience with CRM software: Proficiency in using CRM tools for managing client relationships.
