Responsibilities

• Assess sports-related injuries, establishing effective treatment plans.
• Supervise rehabilitation programs for athletes returning to competition.
• Collaborate with coaches to understand training impacts on athlete health.
• Provide injury management advice to enhance athlete performance.
• Engage in community outreach programs to promote sports health awareness.
• Utilize electronic medical records to track and analyse treatment outcomes.
• Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
• Conduct research pertaining to new sports medicine practices.
• Supervise junior medical staff and interns where applicable.
• Evaluate medical equipment and therapies for improved patient outcomes.

Requirements

Education

• Medical Degree with specialty in Sports Medicine
• Additional qualifications in Physiotherapy or Rehabilitation (preferred)

Experience

• 5+ years working with athletes, including elite and competitive sports.

Technical Skills

• Musculoskeletal ultrasound

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience with injection therapy: Hands-on experience administering injection therapies for sports injuries.
