Job Description

As a Security Guard (Ship Keeper), you will play a crucial role in managing the safety and security of the vessel. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and operational readiness of the ship, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed and that the vessel is free from unauthorized access.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an organized and clean ship environment for crew and passengers.
• Carry out regular inspections of safety and security equipment.
• Document any maintenance activities and issues for reporting.
• Support loading, unloading, and stowing of cargo efficiently.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations during all activities.
• Collaborate with fellow crew members to enhance operational efficiency.
• Oversee the management of consumables and supplies on board.
• Perform regular security checks and report any suspicious activities.
• Assist in conducting safety training for new crew members.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives for ship safety.

Requirements

Education

• Certification in maritime safety and first aid is preferred.

Experience

• Experience in the maritime industry is a plus.
