Job Description

Join our team as an Armored Assault Vehicle Crew Member where you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV) as part of a dedicated crew in various operational settings. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the vehicle's readiness and effectiveness in real-world scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Conducting regular checks and maintenance on LAV equipment.
• Participating in tactical exercises and simulations.
• Training new crew members on LAV operations and safety procedures.
• Reporting any issues or damages to the commanding officer.
• Maintaining situational awareness during operations.

Requirements

Education

• Minimum Year 10 education or equivalent

Experience

• No prior experience required, but military experience is advantageous

Technical Skills

• Excellent hand-eye coordination
• Physical fitness and agility

Soft Skills

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure

Certifications

• Valid Australian driver's license (manual preferred)
• Australian Defence Security Clearance

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Prior military experience: Experience in roles requiring teamwork and quick decision-making.
• Experience operating and maintaining vehicles or weapons systems: Familiarity with military equipment is a plus.
