Environmental Manager

Job Description

As an Environmental Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our organisation meets its environmental commitments. The ideal candidate will lead the development and implementation of environmental policies and practices, actively promoting sustainability within our operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of environmental management systems in compliance with ISO 14001 standards.
• Manage and monitor waste management programs through innovative solutions.
• Conduct public awareness campaigns related to sustainability.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of current sustainability programs and recommend improvements.
• Liaise with government agencies regarding compliance and environmental concerns.
• Research and incorporate best practices in environmental management.
• Coordinate with internal divisions to promote sustainability objectives.
• Prepare budgets for environmental initiatives and ensure funding is secured.
• Oversee sustainability reporting and maintain records in accordance with legislation.
• Advocate for the company’s environmental policies in community forums and industry meetings.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Environmental Science or related field preferred
• Postgraduate qualifications in Environmental Management advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in environmental compliance and management

Certifications
