As an Insurance Claims and Policy Processing Clerk, you will be responsible for managing the submission and processing of insurance claims, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complies with industry regulations. Your role is critical in assisting patients and healthcare providers in navigating the insurance process.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients.
• Process and submit claims accurately and timely.
• Resolution of unpaid claims and denials through effective follow-up.
• Post insurance payments to patient accounts and update records.
• Communicate with patients regarding their claims and billing status.
• Create and maintain organized records for all insurance tasks.
• Participate in training sessions to stay updated with industry changes.
• Contribute to team meetings by sharing insights on claims processing.
• Utilize medical billing software to manage claims efficiently.
• Help improve workflow within the billing department.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Previous experience in medical billing preferred

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR)

Languages
