Job Description

We are seeking a Kiln Repairer to join our dedicated maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing kilns used in production, ensuring optimal performance and safety. This role will involve collaboration with other maintenance professionals to maintain our high standards of quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of kiln machinery to prevent faults before they happen.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in kiln operations.
  • Maintain an inventory of kiln parts and tools needed for repairs.
  • Document all maintenance activities and report on key metrics to management.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety protocols when working with kiln equipment.
  • Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance that minimizes downtime.
  • Provide technical support and expertise during major repairs and installations.
  • Train new staff in kiln operations and safety procedures.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained in good condition.

Requirements

Education
  • Trade Certification in Mechanical Engineering
  • Relevant trade experience may substitute formal qualifications.
Experience
  • 5+ years in kiln repair and manufacturing environments.

  • Hydraulic Systems Knowledge

Certifications
  • Welding Certification (preferred)
  • Competency in using hand and power tools
Languages
