Job Description

As a Wine Cellar Worker, you will manage and maintain the wine cellar, ensuring that all bottles are correctly stored, inventory is up-to-date, and wine is served at the right temperature. You will also assist with wine tastings and collaborate with chefs for perfect pairings.

Responsibilities

• Monitor wine inventory levels and organization.
• Prepare wine for tastings and educate visitors about selections.
• Assist in maintaining optimal storage conditions.
• Ensure cellar cleanliness and organisation for efficiency.
• Handle customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
• Support the Cellar Manager in daily operational tasks.
• Maintain equipment used in wine production processes.
• Participate in promotional events and tastings.
• Assist with compliance audits related to alcohol service.
• Aid in the training of new cellar staff.

Requirements

Education

• Certification in Wine / Viticulture / Oenology
• Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) Certificate
• Diploma in Hospitality or related field is a plus.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in fine dining or luxury hospitality.

Languages

• English: Fluent
