Freight Forwarder

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder to oversee the coordination of shipments and ensure timely delivery of goods. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of logistics operations and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute logistical operations for all shipments.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with transportation.
• Assist in the development of logistics strategies to improve efficiency.
• Mentor junior logistics staff on effective practices.
• Coordinate with warehousing teams to manage inventory levels.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Compile reports on transportation costs and efficiency metrics.
• Facilitate communication between suppliers and clients to streamline logistics.
• Participate in negotiations for shipping contracts with suppliers.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree preferred in Logistics or Business Administration

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics management
