Job Description

As a Lathe and Turning Machine Tool Setter, you will be responsible for setting up and operating Swiss-type screw machines to manufacture precision metal and plastic parts. This role is crucial to ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production processes.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC lathes for precision metal and plastic fabrication.
• Carry out routine maintenance and calibration of machinery.
• Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality standards.
• Conduct inspections and quality assurance checks on machined parts.
• Document all setup processes and production statistics.
• Assist in developing and implementing new machining processes to increase efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Fitter and Turner)
• Trade qualification in machining or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in operating CNC and Swiss-type machines.
