Sewing Machine Operators

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Sewing Machine Operators to join our dynamic team in Sydney. The successful candidate will primarily operate and maintain sewing machines to ensure the production of high-quality metal cans. A keen eye for detail and mechanical skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate folder seaming machines per production specifications.
• Conduct regular quality checks on finished products.
• Collaborate closely with other teams to ensure timely production.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area.
• Train new team members on operating machinery.
• Evaluate production data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Report any defects or inconsistencies immediately.

Requirements

Education

• Vocational training in Engineering or Manufacturing

Experience

• Experience working with metal packaging is highly desirable.

Technical Skills

• Understanding of production processes
• Quality control knowledge

Soft Skills

• Team collaboration
• Effective communication

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of ISO standards: Familiarity with ISO quality management systems in manufacturing.
• Experience with CNC machines: Utilisation of CNC machines in production processes.
